Old Girl 03:42
OLD GIRL Written by Lisa Mann ©2020 Lisa Mann Music ASCAP I’m an Old Girl, living in a young girl’s world With too much makeup on my eyes, and do you think this skirt’s a little high? No, I ain’t 23, but that’s not how it seems to me, Feels like I’m starting out brand new, And that isn’t an easy thing to do for an Old Girl I’m an Old Girl, living in an old woman’s world With anniversary diamond rings, and “Madame, may I help you with your things?” No I ain’t 24, but I don’t need you to get the door Most of my days I’m feeling strong, And I believe I can get along as an Old Girl I’m an Old Girl, living in a grown man’s world, But it’s getting easier, that’s true- Sometimes I get to tell them what to do No I ain’t 25, but it feels so good to be alive! This world keeps spinning by design, And I believe I’m doing fine for an Old Girl

IT’S THE MONKEYS OR ME Written by Lisa Mann ©2020 Lisa Mann Music ASCAP I met a sweet man one morning down at the corner store It was love at first sight and I know I might just have to get to see him some more But when I went to his place, he never would let me in So I kept on insisting, and I’m damn sure glad I did Cuz it was full of monkeys Yeah, I mean real live monkeys! They were swingin, they were jumpin, it seemed like they were having a ball There were ropes and swings and trampolines and bars bolted to the wall He explained that he’d been running a traveling monkey show But I stared him down and told him, “there is something you’ve got to know, I can’t take these monkeys! These critters have got to go! I can see how much they mean to you, but baby- It’s the Monkeys or Me. It’s the Monkeys or Me!” He said, “You must understand me- these monkeys are my way of life, And if you get to know them you will find that they’re very nice.” So I bent down to pet one, to show him that I could be kind And that’s when I felt some razor-sharp teeth sinking into my behind Goddamn these monkeys! I’ve had it with these monkeys! I can see how much they mean to you but baby- It’s the Monkeys or Me. It’s the Monkeys or Me! He finally came to realize that he would rather be with me So he took ‘em all down to the sanctuary where the monkeys could all be free Well maybe you got one on your back, or fool friends that like to monkey around If you want to find a real true love, you better run those monkeys outta town We don’t need no monkeys- on your back, or wherever they may be Listen when your woman says to you, now baby- It’s the Monkeys or Me. It’s the Monkeys or Me!

EVERYBODY’S MAKING MONEY Written by Lisa Mann ©2020 Lisa Mann Music ASCAP I got another invoice today, I add it to the piles of bills to pay I got my head above water, but I fear I’m gonna drown someday Well I love this life tremendously, but I got the business sense to see- Everybody’s Making Money but me I’m at the studio as we speak, and the photographer is coming next week To give the graphic designer some images that she can re-tweak And the promoter’s waiting patiently for me to wire him a sizeable fee Everybody’s Making Money but me We got the ticket takers, deal makers, advertisers, cab drivers, Makers of them cables and strings Dutch Bros, studios, airlines and stage pros And CD manufacturing I believe this is the life for me, but making music isn’t easy you see Everybody’s Making Money but me Hotels, motels, internet and phone bills, and musical societies, ASCAP, sky caps, Harry Fox and phone apps And legal liability I believe this is the life for me, but making music isn’t easy you see Everybody’s Making Money but me I guess it’s some consolation to see, I’m stimulating the economy Everybody’s Making Money- Every little bee has got to get their honey Everybody’s Making Money but me

That's All 05:03
THAT’S ALL Written by Rosetta Tharpe, additional verse by Lisa Mann ©2020 Lisa Mann Music ASCAP Let me tell you something, it’s a natural fact Man don’t understand the good book right, and That’s All Yeah, That’s All We gotta have more love and understanding all over the world, and That’s All You see people jumping, jumping from this to that They don’t know where the devil they’re at, and That’s All Hey That’s All They need more love, more understanding every day of their lives, and That’s All People fighting one another, they think they’re doing swell All they want is your money, and you can go to hell, and That’s All Yeah That’s All They gotta fix their religion, honey, and That’s All These people think they’re righteous, got their power, got their might They’re putting children in cages, you know that just ain’t right, and That’s All Hey, That’s All Gotta get more love, more understanding all over the world, and That’s All You can go to the college, you can go to the school But if your spirit ain’t right, you’re just an educated fool, and That’s All Hey That’s All We need more love more understanding, all over the world, and That’s All Yeah That’s All… we gotta have more love and understanding all over the world, and That’s All

Around Here 05:05
AROUND HERE Written by Lisa Mann ©2020 Lisa Mann Music ASCAP You see that woman’s picture, up there hanging on the wall? She didn’t have much to say, but we came to know here anyway Through her piano, and damn but she could play And you see those ladies near her, with the microphones in their hands? A hush fell on this town as if the lights had all gone down On the days they left us to go and help the angels sing Around Here we revere the ones that came before You may not know them but they’re our legends forever more And though they may not be pictured in a Billboard magazine We will remember them, always, Around Here We know he had his demons, but his talent was heaven sent People came from near and far, to hear him playing at this very bar Oh, he was taken much too soon, he still had so much to do Around Here we revere the ones that came before You may not know them but they’re our legends forever more And thought they may not be pictured in a Rolling Stone magazine We will remember them, always, Around Here Their songs are still resonating, although their music is now divine They had so much to give, as long as we shall live We’ll never turn around that open sign Around Here we revere the ones that came before You may not know them but they’re our legends forever more And thought they may not be pictured in a Rolling Stone magazine We will remember them, always, Around Here We will remember them! We will remember them! We will remember them! We will remember them, always, Around Here
